Me and SadieLive in Sorrento, FL USA; Day Job = MIS Project Manager; After Hours = Hanging out in the kitchen. I even dabble in writing mystery/fiction (I’m not a very good writer – but I like doing it).
I hope to bring familiar food and recipes to you while providing a different twist, something new and extra to make it special.
First and foremost though – – please share. Blogs are a place to share, and I’m all for sharing the best – especially food and good tasting recipes. Take what you find and add your own special “something” to it.
Hey – congratulations re smoking cessation. Those 10 pounds have done you wonders! You look wonderful. I stopped smoking YEARS ago with Smoke Enders. They recommend a few things to help you not overeat – brush your teeth after eating anything & everything and use Lavoris (it does something to create a “contra-smoking” taste). Only have to do that for a while. Back then I didn’t gain weight, but…. Love your blog – how? I want to too. Recipes look wonderful – gonna try the stoup – I remember my mom-in-law making something similar. Will send other recipes for you to try. and you certainly can share, too. Since you’re not smoking, but all that cash you’re saving away and you can come out here for a visit. We have the room – visitors suite! Can’t wait to sample your mystery/fiction writing. Is it here on the blog? I’ll see the rest now. Later sweetie and thank you sooooo much for sharing. Love Sadie – kisses to her! Love from Dick & I – Andi
Thanks Paul! I really look forward to my new mission as project manager in Zurich… but beeing PM in FL includes more sunny days i guess ; ) regards, andy
AND you cook? You were holding out on me…. for an entire day! 😉 Looked at your photos again and saw that you had another blog. Hope you don’t mind if I borrow some of your food ideas.
I thought you might be interested in a blogging event I am hosting called “A Culinary Tour Around the World”. It’s a ‘virtual’ tour which I hope will bring attention to BloggerAid, a newly formed organization to fight world hunger. We’ll be traveling for the next few months and posting a little history about different countries — and, of course, highlighting the food. I posted the introduction, itinerary and event rules on January 2.
The first stop was Norway which is already up on my blog. On Wednesday, 1/14, I will post a round-up link to other blog’s who chose to ‘meet’ me in Norway.
Next stop: Poland, 1/19…and I thought I’d invite a couple of authoritative bloggers about Poland to participate as well. Please check it out — and let me know if you’d like to participate in the Poland issue. Or perhaps you’d like to stretch your imagination as well and pick another destination.
I must tell you it’s a fun experience, it will bring new readers to your website, and you will help in the effort to bring awareness to the fight against world hunger.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Hi,
I live in Florida and own a building on the dock in cedar key florida over the gulf of mexico. It has been a restaurant for 40 years. I am Greek and grew up in the business but alas am now a lawyer/stay at home mom of two.
the clam farmers in cedar key are the #1 producers in the nation yet 95% our clams are shipped out of state to NY and CA. I want to find someone that has the experience and the desire to open a waterfront clam bar just like the ones up north…HELP. The clams are in my backyard and can be brought in fresh daily off the boats to the restaurant. How beautiful is that?
Thanks, Paul for stopping by my blog the other day! I’d have to try out your recipes, they look and sound really tasty! And Sadie’s a sweetheart, by the way. Happy New Year!!
Paul,
I always thought you were awesome…your work on this blog confirms it!
thanks for sharing with me.
Carlos
Hey Paul,
Cool site, I’m going to try some of your recipes! 🙂
Donna D.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful food and recipes. I will be trying them.

Hi! I came across your site while looking for photos of the old Thompson’s Clam Bar on the Cape and discovered that we have something in common – Wrinkle Point! My family started going there in the 60s and loved going to Thompson’s Clam Bar, sometimes by Boston Whaler from the Bass River. We still have the house on Wrinkle Point. Thanks for posting the photo – it brought back lots of wonderful memories of summers on the Cape. – Kathleen
I still love Wrinkle Point… visited there in 2010. Thompson’s was such a great place — but sooo looong gone now – very sad. Enjoy your time on the Cape and enjoy the memories as well. Peace.
